Is The Secret Service Wasting Endless Amount of Taxpayer's Money Due to Paranoia?

Not long ago, I talked with a gentleman, an admitted Tea Party member, and he told me that he always knew when and where the president was going to visit, because he received bogus phone calls of supposed buyers of his goods and services from that area just prior. At first he chocked it off as mere coincidence, but just the other day, he said he was certain that the President was going to Oklahoma City because he received another questionable phone call. I just laughed, it sounded like a conspiracy theory crazy story to me.

But then a funny thing happened when reading the news a few days later, I read this article; "Obama declares health care law is working," in the online news by Julie Pace on December 3, 2013 which stated; "Seeking to regroup from his health care law's disastrous rollout, President Barack Obama on Tuesday insisted that the sweeping overhaul is working and warned Republican critics that he would fight any efforts to strip away its protections," which came from his visit to guess where? Oklahoma City. The article stated;

"We're not repealing it as long as I'm president, Obama said during a health care event at the White House. 'If I have to fight another three years to make sure this law works, then that's what I'll do.'"

Is President Obama telling all detractors that to get rid of ObamaCare you have to get rid of him first? Meaning wait until he's out of office, impeach him or other? That's rather dire, he is the President and telling the rest of the country to "stick-it" and challenging them to do something about it? Wow, those really sound like fighting words of a Machiavellian style socialist dictator, someone like the late Hugo Chavez than any sort of many who claims to lead by consensus.

Now the acquaintance I'd talked to explained that he'd been quite outspoken online about the Obama Administration and President Obama in general, especially when it came to ObamaCare (ACA - Affordable Healthcare Act) and that he wasn't surprised that the Secret Service would attempt to make bogus phone calls, but to consider such a solid American a threat is way over the top. I guess, my point here is that I truly believe that we have too much paranoia going on with those doing domestic national security and trying to find the lone wolf terrorist or assassin needle in the hay stack.

The Industrial intelligence complex seems to be out of control and so too must be the secret service ballooned budget. Why? Perhaps, because we have an administration which has overstepped its Constitutional authority and is no paranoid an in that paranoia attempting to use every potential government lever in its power to protect against any backlash, and some might say they have no choice and as Intel's Andy Grove once said "Only the Paranoid Survive" however I am reminded of another quote of notoriety, namely the one which reminds to beware a paranoid government.

Okay so, let me ask a question; how many millions of dollars does it cost the taxpayers for Secret Service and government workers to call every single person who has spoken out against the President on a social network, blog, or even a reporter in a newspaper at a time when nearly 60% of the population highly disapproves of the President's job performance - and why should we the people have to pay for it?

Are we paying for it due to maladjusted surveillance algorithms running in the background of the Internet? Amazing nonsense, if you consider the millions of false positives - especially in a country that prides itself of free speech. If this is occurring, and I now believe it is, how dishonorable, deplorable and disgusting, there is no honor in that. Please consider all this and think on it.
